Tawa Pulao

Sanjeev Kapoor's Tawa Pulao
Tawa Pulao is one of the street foods in the recent times. I adapted this from sanjeev kapoor’s video. Tastes good as it is without any side dish & with kadai paneer makes a Zesty Meal. Tastes Scrumptious with Andhra Chicken Fry Kodi Vepudu

I used
Serves 4

1 ½ cups Basmathi rice (cooked with salt)
1 tsp cumin (jeera)
1 big onion chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 carrot chopped small
¼  cup green peas (mashed or as it is)
2 tomato chopped small
½ red capsicum cubed
½ green capsicum cubed
1 ½  tsp red chili paste (can mix red chili pow with enough water)
1 ½  tsp pav bhaji masala
Salt to taste
2 tbsps oil
90 ml water
Lemon juice (optional)
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method
1.     Heat oil in a pan, add cumin and sauté for 1 min
2.    Add fry onions till transparent
3.    Add ginger garlic paste, fry to get an aroma.

4.    Add tomatoes and salt fry till tomatoes turn mushy
5.    Add the vegetables, red chili paste and pav bhaji masala, mix well
6.    Pour 90 ml water and cook till the water evaporates fully and the carrot is cooked.

7.    Add the cooked rice and mix well
8.    Add chopped capsicum and mix

9.    Sprinkle some water to avoid dryness. ( I used approximately 30 ml)
10. Cook on high flame for 2 mins.
