POHA RECIPE

   Perfectly fluffy and soft pohe

Clean 1½ cups poha and add them to a large colander.

Rinse them well with clean filtered water. Drain the water completely.

After rinsing they should be soft when pressed with your thumb and forefinger. Add salt and sugar.

Fry peanuts in half tsp oil until golden and crunchy. Remove them to a plate.

Heat 1 to 1 ½ tablespoon oil. Add ¾ teaspoon mustard seeds and ¾ teaspoon cumin seeds.

Add 1 small chopped onion, 1 to 2 green chilies and 1 sprig curry leaves.

Saute until the onions turn pink. Add 1 small chopped potato and saute .

Cover the pan and cook on a low heat until the potatoes are soft cooked.

 Add turmeric.

Add softened poha and mix well.

Cover and steam on a low heat until poha becomes hot. If it is not soft, splash some water and steam. Add coriander leaves.

Add lemon juice and keep it covered until served.

Remove Poha to a serving plate. You can garnish with sev or farsan.
