Rinse watermelon under running water. Pat dry with kitchen tissues or air dry it for a while.
To start with cut the watermelon in the center, to 2 parts. Invert the cutside of the watermelon on to the chopping board, so it rests without rolling around. Then quarter each part, following the lines on the watermelon.
How to Deseed watermelon
Slice each quarter further to 2 to 3 parts (lengthwise) to help deseed watermelon easily. Using a small knife, gently remove the seeds following the line. Tender white seeds are okay to be used.
Chop the watermelon pulp from the rind. To avoid ice cubes, you can chill the watermelon before juicing.
How To Make Watermelon Juice
Add the ingredients to a blender jar and blend till smooth & frothy. If you do not have a powerful blender, then start with just a handful of watermelon cubes and then add the rest later. Or pour half cup chilled water and blend.
If using soaked chia or sabja seeds, add them to your serving glass. Then pour the watermelon juice & top with black pepper or chaat masala. Serve it immediately.
Watermelon Orange Juice
Without Strainer: Juice the cut oranges in a electric or manual squeezer/juicer. Blend the watemelon until smooth and frothy in a blender. Pour the required amount of orange juice to the serving glasses and top with watermelon juice.
Strained Juice: Peel the oranges and remove the pith, seperate the segments and deseed them. You may check this orange juice post for easy way to deseed oranges. Add the watermelons to a blender and oranges. Blend until smooth. Pass the juice through a strainer if you want.
Watermelon Juice in Cold Press Juicer
Use a smoothie strainer to retain most of the pulp in your watermelon juice. All of the 5 versions work well in a cold press juicer. For the strawberry version use about ¼ cup water instead of ice.
